The story behind the photograph

The surface of Pine Creek in motion at Wildcat Den State Park in Muscatine, Iowa. Flowing water swirls in patterns of silver-white, teal green, and warm amber over the rocky creek bed below, the image nearly abstract in its texture and color. A close-up portrait of moving water that looks as much like a painting as a photograph, from one of Iowa’s most scenic and geologically distinctive state parks.

A meaningful gift for a creek lover, Iowa nature admirer, abstract photography enthusiast, or anyone who has ever stood on a bridge over a clear rocky stream and lost track of time watching the water move.

Back of card: Blank, with the Midwest Wilderness Connections logo and the following description along the bottom edge: “Pine Creek. Wildcat Den State Park, Muscatine, Iowa. — Midwest Wilderness Connections www.MidwestWildernessConnections.com”
