Hellebore cast in a large-format square plaster bas relief panel with natural plaster and clay staining, approximately 15" W × 15" H × 0.5" D — at this scale, the nodding hellebore blooms fill the panel with real presence and botanical authority. The natural clay staining left from the original mold process gives the surface a warm, nuanced variation that no tinted cast can replicate — each area of the panel reads slightly differently, with the clay residue deepening recesses and highlighting the relief with organic subtlety. Mounted on a ¼" backerboard with a 6" French cleat hanger. Protected with matte acrylic varnish. This is cast from the original clay mold.
