MWC Eco-brief: Green Snakes

Two species of green snake occur in the Midwest, the smooth green and the rough green. The snake's green coloration is made using blue and yellow pigments. Shortly after the snake dies, the blue and yellow pigments separate, which results in the snake turning blue.
